Australia Day Book Giveaway Blog Hop

2015-ausdayHappy Australia Day to Aussies and ex-pat Aussies everywhere. Thanks for visiting me as part of this great book-blogging frenzy!
This year, Australia Day is a Monday and I’ll be enjoying a long weekend. I’ve had the last two weeks on leave from work and I’ve had in-laws visiting, which has been great fun for my two boys. They haven’t seen their grandparents for a while.
I’m hoping the weather is warm and my Australia Day might include a trip to the beach and hopefully, some writing!
I’ve been working feverishly on revisions for my fourth complete novel, called So Far Into You, and sent them back to my Escape Publishing editor last week. This means I’m now in that nail-biting “waiting” time (hate this stage), to see if she likes the way I’ve reworked it.
In April, I’ll have my previously self-pubbed, now picked up by Escape, coastal reunion romance called Fairway To Heaven coming out in e-book stores. You can read more about Fairway (including a Chapter 1 excerpt) if you visit the My Books tab on this site.
It’s been a busy year since I was part of Shelleyrae’s BookdOut blog in 2014. I hope the year ahead is a great one for you and your family.

To celebrate Australia Day, I’m offering every visitor who emails me at lilymalone@mail.com an e-copy of my novella The Goodbye Ride. (Sorry – Kindle only)

And for the chance to win something extra:

unrestraineda) If you like your romance a little steamy (okay, a lot steamy) I’ll gift an e-copy of Rhyll Biest’s Unrestrained. Rhyll is an Aussie author I love, and this was my favourite e-book of 2014 about Aussie girl Holly and German stonemason, Stein.

b) If you like your romance sensual, I’ll gift an e-copy of Perth author Jennie Jones’ new book, The House On The Bottom Of The Hill from Jennie’s bestselling Swallows’ Fall series set in a fictional small town in the snowy mountains.thatboth

UCODc) If you like your romance with a touch of suspense, I’ll gift an  e-copy of Perth author Juanita Kees ARRA nominated finalist, Under Cover Of Dark. Set in Perth, this is part of Juanita’s Tag Raiders series – showing Perth’s darker side.

Please tell me in the comments if you’re up for steamy, sensual or suspense, and why you’d enjoy the above book of your choice. I’ll contact the winners on Tuesday January 27.

Goodbye_RideThanks for visiting! Remember to email me lilymalone@mail.com for your copy of The Goodbye Ride!

Booklovers: Would you like cash with that?

PrintDuring 2014, a new romance website launched called AusRomToday (Australian Romance Today) run by J’aimee Brooker, one of the great supporters of Australian romance authors and romance writing.

For Aussie month, AusRomToday will feature 93 of Australia’s romance authors, at the same time offering you the chance to share in a $1000 prize pool, kicked in by the authors involved. (Of which I am one!)

Yes, you have to do a little bit of work to be in the prize draw. Entries are earned through joining a reader survey – sharing your romance reading preferences – and also by assisting us in spreading the word, through sharing news of Aussie month on your own social media networks.

So please support an Aussie romance author today and visit these links below!

For the terms and conditions, visit: http://ausromtoday.com/aussie-month/

And if you just want to get stuck into the survey and the other options, this is the place for you: https://www.facebook.com/AusRomToday?sk=app_228910107186452

Breakfast, and cricket. What are you doing this Australia Day?

AustraliaDaybloghop2014How are you spending Australia Day? Near to where I live, the local Lions Club is hosting a free breakfast in the Park. It’s a great family fun day of sausages, eggs and bacon, with music, and the annual awarding of a local Citizenship Award recognising those stellar locals who show great community spirit.

Community is big in regional Australia and with small town values of friendship and fair play, it’s probably no surprise that small rural towns make such great settings for novels.

My new release Fairway To Heaven is a summer story, set on the beaches at Busselton on the shores of beautiful Geographe Bay. It’s a real town. It’s a real book. You’ll find no ‘escapism’ or ‘purple prose’ here. It’s golf – but not as you know it, and (because I’m sporty) I’ll take a bet that it’s romance too, just not as you might expect.

“Don’t let a lack of interest in golf put you off this book. Because it’s fabulous!”
All The Books I Can Read (23 January 2014).

“This was an absolute find. I laughed so hard at one point in time I ended up pouring tea on myself.” Georgina Penney (9 January 2014).
