It’s been a month out of the box, filled with bookish news.
Today THIS happened for Fairway To Heaven!
There was of course, much squealing in the computer room, as I called out to my hubby and my kids that my book had reached No. 15 in the Amazon Australia store and Number 2 in Contemporary Romance. 
So then Mr 7 (who is almost Mr 8) said: “That’s great Mum, but how’s it going on Amazon US?”
Me: “Okay, I’ll check.”
And the answer is: 208,000th, but who’s counting 🙂
That’s how my kids keep me grounded! They’re good at doing that.

Any number with that many zeros in it needs to be ignored, like a mortgage. Concentrate on the Australian stats and soak it all up. And tell your son you don’t always need to be grounded—a little time to float is nice, too!
My thinking exactly! But you know, I was thinking too, it’s only the kids of a writer who’d have any sense of Amazon stats (based on squee levels coming from the computer room) or that there was more than one Amazon to consider. 🙂 Either way, it was a happy day and it’s been an incredible month. My glass is definitely half full! 😉
