Early Review Copy Of The Goodbye Ride, anyone?

I have heard from two of my critique partners’ about my novella The Goodbye Ride, and I’m waiting on the third set of comments from Musing Maddie (who by the way, is soon to start her own proof reading and beta reading service for authors, Making Manuscripts. Check her out on Facebook.)

Here’s what they’ve said to date:

“This is a really heartwarming story, I enjoyed it. It is spiced with apt
new phrases and a wryly ironic narrator.” Comment 1.

“Well I enjoyed it. I loved from the love scene to the end the best. I was
flicking ahead wanting to see what happened then and I only do that in good books.” Comment 2.

“I have to say, I really do love this story. I love how you have fleshed it out thus far too. Really good! I’m right at the start of the weekend at the vineyard…” Comment 3.

As for me? I would want to read The Goodbye Ride based on its gorgeous cover alone!

Would you like an early sneak peek of The Goodbye Ride? And would you be prepared to give the novella your honest review on Amazon and Goodreads when it launches later this month?

If so, please let me know! You can catch me in the comments below, or by email: lilymalone @ mail.com

  1. Great comments from your early readers. That must make you feel good! 🙂

If you want a reader, I’d be happy to read and review… but only if you want author ones. Not sure how Amazon/Goodreads handles author reviews – there’s always someone saying something about them! 🙂

  2. Hi Cate
Well… I guess I’d better find out what an author review means then, hey! Is it different to how you reviewed for His Brand Of Beautiful? And is the difference because I’m ‘asking’ for the review versus a reader doing it off their own initiative?
If that’s the case – you can forget I asked! Just review it after if you want to (or not) 🙂
As I understand these things, Goodbye Ride would be free on Amazon when it launches for the first 5 days.
    No problems!

    1. In our language, I don’t think there’s any difference in who reviews, Lily. But a while back some biggish name overseas authors were revieweing their own stuff well, and peers’ books poorly. Amazon threatened to stop authors from reviewing – but I don’t know what happened after that, it all seemed to go quiet.

I’d be happy to write something like I did for HBOB. I’ll grab it when it goes live and read and review as quickly as I can.
